NEW AGE CHILDREN
We have different levels of consciousness/awareness.
The trick with people with a higher consciousness is that they can tune into a lower consciousness. In other words:
They are able to understand that for every action there is a reaction, they are able to feel empathy, forgive another, look at themselves for 'mistakes' instead of always pointing the finger to blame others, enjoy the small things in life and turn setbacks into something positive. Someone with a lower consciousness is unable to tune into a higher consciousness. These days, many children are born with a higher consciousness. They feel many things and may well be called highly sensitive. From birth they stay very much in connection with their higher self. They are born into a society with a generally lower level of consciousness.
A clear example within a family:
A child that is highly sensitive, is able to feel blockages in other people. A blockage can be: sadness, fear, learned behaviour stemming from their own youth, and so on. For example, a child feels that there is a blockage in a parent but is not able to understand this feeling, let alone explain it. If a parent does not realise that there is a blockage and tells the child that everything is OK, the child will get confused. What happens then is that the child is going to reflect this fact by demonstrating certain behaviour or emotions. Anger, vulnerability, anxiety or aggression, are expressions that are then often seen. The child is actually reacting out of helplessness. At the time that this mirroring is not recognised by the parent and nothing is done, the child closes his/her heart for protection and can no longer feel the connection to his/her essence. The child learns unconsciously not to trust his/her own feeling and thus learns not to show his/her own limits properly.
The result may be that a child in the classroom may get a personal sense of a classmate, but does not trust this feeling and thus does not indicate any boundaries. At that time, the child is not able to separate his/her own energy from the other child with all of the related consequences. The child becomes over stimulated, gets aches and pains, is tired etc. Society is inclined to see this as a problem, and immediately gives these children a label. However the problem lies not in the fact that they perceive more, but the problem arises because this intuitive part of the child is suppressed. This happens because society does not connect to this. Children learn to suppress this because they need to conform to the system. This can cause problems. This is because a child that sees and perceives more is forced to switch this off or ignore it, which is illogical. ADHD should really stand for ‘Attention Dialled into a Higher Dimension’. This would be a much more accurate description. You can imagine that it is very difficult for children to feel at home in this society (grounded). Society prescribes multiple rules and thus children are limited in their emotional and spiritual development.
We must, of course, make children capable of making the most of life, but please bear in mind that children also teach us things. Their behaviour mirrors our limitations, which allows us to work on them, and therefore to develop our consciousness further.
